What a Dhaka rent agreement should cover
Dhaka North's January 2026 guidelines ask for a written agreement that states the rent, the advance, when and how rent can rise and the notice either side must give. This template covers those, plus the receipt duty in section 13 of the 1991 Act, repairs, subletting and handing back the keys.
On the advance: the 1991 Act allows one month's rent without the Rent Controller's approval. The DNCC guideline says one to three months. The tool warns you when the advance is higher.
